Saw this earlier liked the fact Charlton was out of position as he was busy going to get revenge on a Chelsea player

"A real man's game"? Certainly more physical but for skills and quality, you'd have to admit the game today allows these to shine.

Just imagine if George Best, with his undoubted talent and genius, was playing in the modern era with referees protecting his safety, how even more brilliant he would have been.

I was lucky enough to be working in Manchester when George Best was at his peak. Although I worked most saturdays, the season I was there many mid week games were played. In those days you could catch a bus from Piccadilly to the ground and pay four shillings at the turnstiles and get to watch the greatest Player I ever saw play in the flesh.
