Anjorin
BBC are reporting that Tino Anjorin is among a dozen plus players including Raheem Stirling and Chilwell who are training apart from the main squad and are available for transfer.
Do we still need him after the Kamara signing? I would say yes if we move out at least one midfielder to make room for him.

Re: Anjorin
A relative of a friend of mine knows him from when they were young.
By all accounts he absolutely loved his time at Pompey, was gutted when he got injured and really came back feeling he had a point to prove and still does.

Looks like Tino is heading to Serie A and not Pompey…

Re: Anjorin
Serie A is a serious step up in quality from what he has played before. Seems a big gamble if true.

Re: Anjorin
Can`t see it myself, Empoli are very much a yo-yo Team and skirt on the verges of relegation when in Serie A. Is Tino going to blossom in an alien Country, a totally different culture, a difficult language to learn (because English speakers are very much in the minority) and in a League where they won`t take any prisoners, particularly with young Players. He will be very poorly advised if he chooses to go!Claygate wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2024 11:28 pm Looks like Tino is heading to Serie A and not Pompey…

Re: Anjorin
I wonder if he'll play much over there. If he'd joined us he'd likely have started every game he was fit for. That's assuming we were trying to sign him. The same applies to Robertson. He would have started every game for us but looks like a bench warmer for Cardiff. Hopefully both succeed but the history of football is littered with examples of players who have stalled their careers languishing on the bench. Meanwhile we move on and hopefully find the number 8 right for us.

Re: Anjorin
The way I see it with Tino plus Robbo they were never going to be loans because their contracts were running out and we made the decision to go for Kamara which was better value for money. Due to these Premiership fat cats milking their transfers so we have gone overseas which i think was probably a good financial decision.
Laughter is the jam on the toast of life. It adds flavor, keeps it from being too dry, and makes it easier to swallow.
