They are naming player of the year tomorrow so I guess we will know at least one player who’s leaving in the summer

It was only this morning I discovered Ben Thompson is with Gillingham (how did that one get past me??) and could be playing tomorrow. Well, that could be interesting just to see how he plays AGAINST us and not for us. Do we think Cowley will try and get him for next season (or longer!!). Personally I think not.

He's out of contract in the summer - the deal he signed with Gillingham was only until the end of the season, so it would be possible. I think that ship has probably sailed though and wish him all the best (except tomorrow of course) - if he'd been able to stay for the whole season he was on loan with us I'm absolutely sure we'd have been promoted.

Pompey played well against a spirited Gills side..much, much better from Curtis (from reports think his mind has been elsewhere for some time with family concern) back to his old form. Harness still bothers me, he loses/gives the ball away far too often. Thought whole team played very well today and Morrell is much better than Ben Thompson. Wigan match will be VERY interesting!!

Was this not actually a case that if we play our best 11 we are a match for most teams unfortunately that has not been the case for much of the season with Cowley chopping and changing the team almost for the no reason other than to justify his signings
